Job summary

KBR in Lexington, MA is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to design, develop, implement and test software for large-scale communications demos at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. Hybrid work is possible. You’ll embed security into CI/CD, manage container platforms, and lead security tooling integration across teams.

Bring 5–10 years in software/devops, secret clearance, and expertise with Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift, GitLab CI/CD, and RBH Linux. Travel up to 10% CONUS may be required.

Qualifications

• Security Clearance: Secret
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE/EE or related field
• 5–10 years in software development, systems engineering, platform engineering, or DevOps
• Expert-level experience with container images (Podman, Docker, Kaniko, Skopeo) and UBIs familiarity
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD
• Proficiency with security scans (Trivy, Semgrep, Gemnasium)
• Expert-level in Java, Python and Node package managers
• Proficient with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.x or higher

Responsibilities

• Serve as DevSecOps SME and architectural authority.
• Define standards, reference architectures, and best practices.
• Design secure, scalable cloud and hybrid platforms.
• Embed security controls into CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code.
• Lead container platforms and deployment workflows (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
• Integrate IAM, secrets, and encryption into pipelines and platforms.
• Monitor security dashboards and remediate vulnerabilities.
• Maintain release pipelines and base images with latest patches.
