Job summary

Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT) is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to design CI/CD pipelines, architect reusable IaC modules, and harden secure software factories across Mount Laurel, Arlington, and Fall River. The role emphasizes automation, security compliance, and fast, confident software delivery.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years in DevSecOps/DevOps with automation focus.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to travel up to 10%.
• Experience with SDLC methods and secure code practices.
• CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins; IaC with Ansible/OpenTofu.
• Podman/Docker orchestration and Git workflow mastery.
• Python/Bash scripting; problem-solving in Linux.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, architect, and optimize CI/CD pipelines across teams.
• Automate security controls and integrate SBOM/reporting into pipelines.
• Configure and secure Software Factory platforms (GitLab, Artifactory, SonarQube).
• Develop IaC blueprints (Ansible/OpenTofu) for repeatable environments.
• Manage container clusters with Podman; ensure secure communications.
• Harden DSO deployments in air-gapped environments and maintain compliance.
• Translate DISA STIGs/NIST RMF controls into automated checks.
• Troubleshoot OS/container/CI/CD issues and improve developer DX.
