Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT) seeks a mid-level DevSecOps Engineer to join our Internal DevSecOps team in Arlington, VA, with onsite work requirements and additional locations in NJ and MA. The role emphasizes designing CI/CD pipelines, building reusable IaC modules, and automating security controls to deliver secure software with velocity across multiple teams.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of professional DevSecOps/DevOps or related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain an active Secret clearance.
• Experience building and scaling CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or similar).
• Experience with IaC (Ansible/OpenTofu) and container platforms (Podman/Docker).
• Proficiency in Python and Linux shell scripting.
• Strong Git, code reviews, and CI/CD tooling knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design, architect, and optimize CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Automate security controls (SAST/SCA, SBOM) within pipelines.
• Configure and secure the Software Factory (GitLab, JFrog, SonarQube).
• Develop IaC blueprints and automation models for environment spin-up.
• Harden deployments in air-gapped environments and ensure compliance.
• Translate DISA STIGs/NIST RMF into automation and policy-as-code.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve DX and delivery speed.
