Job summary

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) seeks a Senior DevSecOps Engineer with deep expertise in secure cloud platform engineering, Kubernetes operations, and policy as code enforcement.

This role supports mission critical defense programs and requires hands-on experience in high-assurance environments. You will manage Azure Government environments, architect secure Kubernetes platforms with FluxCD, GitLab CI/CD, and GitOps, and implement policy as code using OPA, Gatekeeper, and pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
• 15+ years of experience in software engineering, DevSecOps, or secure cloud/platform engineering.

Responsibilities

• Manage and operate Azure Government (IL5) and Azure Secret (IL6) environments.
• Architect secure Kubernetes platforms using FluxCD, GitLab CI/CD, and GitOps methodologies.
• Build and maintain Terraform configurations for Azure, GitLab, Artifactory, and developer platforms.
• Deploy and administer Coder Enterprise v2 for secure cloud-based development.
• Develop hardened container images and Helm releases for regulated workloads.
• Implement policyascode using OPA, Rego, Gatekeeper, and advanced validation pipelines.
• Engineer air-gapped deployment workflows and secure artifact transfer mechanisms.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure compliance, security, and platform reliability.

Key Responsibilities
