Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking a software and systems engineer to perform end-to-end lifecycle development, integration and validation across cyber security, software and hardware infrastructure for mission systems. You will convert customer requirements into concrete HW/SW features and ensure alignment with deployment pipelines.

The role emphasizes DevSecOps, containerization, scripting, and collaboration across teams, with eligibility for a DoD security clearance and U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

• Understanding of DevSecOps principles, practices, and tools.
• Experience with Linux (RHEL/Rocky) and Windows Server.
• Experience with Agile, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment.
• Experience with Kubernetes Infrastructure (Vanilla, OpenShift, TKG).
• Understanding of System Scripting (bash, Python, PowerShell, batch).
• Growth Mindset, with an interest in emerging technologies.
• Strong written and verbal communications.
• Understanding of containerization tools like Docker.
• Demonstrate strong collaboration skills.
• Basic skills with version control tools such as Git.
• Strong documentation skills.
• Ability to Obtain and Maintain a DoD security clearance. Must be a US Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, develop, integrate, verify and validate software across the total system life cycle.
• Translate customer requirements into HW and SW feature definitions and acceptance criteria.
• Apply standards, processes, procedures and tools throughout the development life cycle.
• Ensure software standards are met and correct program errors and doc updates.
