Job summary

White Circle is hiring a DevRel Lead to shape how engineers and researchers engage with our AI safety platform. You’ll own developer relations, lead launches for open-source tools like Halo, and craft technical content across blogs, tutorials, demos, and social threads.

This role builds a thriving technical community, organizes SF/NY hackathons, and fosters partnerships with AI labs and dev tools companies. You’ll drive measurable growth while working in a fast-paced, ownership-focused team.

Qualifications

• Has a strong technical background as a software engineer, ML engineer, or researcher.
• Has worked at a technical product company, ideally in dev tools, infrastructure, databases, or AI.
• Has organised hackathons, meetups, or technical events and can show outcomes.
• Has an engaged following among engineers and/or AI researchers on social platforms.
• Knows the AI tooling landscape including coding agents, eval frameworks, and open-source models.
• Can translate complex topics into compelling content for developers.
• Thrives with ownership and moves fast without direction.
• Based in the US or willing to work US hours; SF or NY preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own White Circle's developer relations strategy and audience journey.
• Lead technical launches for open-source releases and tools like Halo.
• Write and publish technical content across blogs, tutorials, demos, and social threads.
• Organize hackathons, meetups, and events in SF and New York.
• Build and grow a technical community around open-source work.
• Set up technical partnerships with AI labs and dev tools companies.
• Provide technical input to promo and product videos with design team.
• Track metrics like signups, repo stars, views, and event turnout.
