Job summary

White Circle is hiring a DevRel Lead to shape how engineers and AI researchers discover, understand, and adopt our AI safety platform. You will own technical content, open-source tool launches like Halo, and partnerships with AI labs and dev-tool companies.

You will organize hackathons and technical events in US locales, grow a technical community, and report on metrics to double down on what works. Fluency in English and US-hour availability are required.

Qualifications

• Strong technical background as software/ML engineer or researcher.
• Experience at a technical product company, ideally in dev tools, infrastructure, databases, or AI.
• Experience organizing hackathons, meetups or technical events with measurable turnout.
• Engaged following among engineers/researchers on major platforms.
• Knowledge of the AI tooling landscape and related ecosystems.
• Ability to translate complex topics for developer audiences without oversimplifying.
• Ownership mindset and ability to move fast without awaiting direction.
• Based in the US or able to work US hours.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Own White Circle's developer relations strategy and how engineers and researchers discover and adopt our tools.
• Lead technical launches for open-source releases and developer tools from narrative to launch day.
• Write and publish technical content including blog posts, tutorials, walkthroughs, demos, and threads.
• Organize and run hackathons, meetups, and technical events mainly in SF and NY.
• Build and grow a technical community around open-source work and platform.
• Set up and run technical partnerships with AI labs, dev tools companies, and research teams.
• Provide technical input to promo and product videos with design and creative teams.
• Track metrics (signups, repo stars, views, turnout, hiring pipeline) and optimize efforts.
