Job summary

BTI Solutions, Inc. in San Jose, CA seeks a Temporary DevOps/System Engineer to design and implement scalable infrastructure, automate deployments with Ansible, manage VMware environments, and support R&D and operations.

You will install and configure servers, storage, networking gear, and tools like Jira, Git, and LDAP; maintain security posture, apply patches, monitor systems, and troubleshoot hardware/software failures.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of system administration experience in Linux environments.
• Strong VMware admin skills and JIRA/GIT/DevOps tool administration.
• Familiarity with security certifications (Linux+ or RHCSA/RHCE) and DoD 8570.1 IAT II.
• Experience with network equipment management and storage systems.

Responsibilities

• Engineer systems administration solutions for project and operational needs.

• Maintain installation/config procedures and automation scripts.
• Monitor system health and perform backups and patching.
