Job summary

Cologix is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join the Systems Administration team in the U.S. This role focuses on designing, deploying, and monitoring internal automation between business systems, and streamlining core processes.

You will collaborate with engineering and operations to deliver reliable, scalable DevOps solutions, establish standards, and own release management across development and production environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3+ years of DevOps experience.
• 3+ years in infrastructure/systems engineering.
• Strong Linux/Unix admin and networking knowledge.
• Experience with automation and config management tools like Ansible.
• Experience with open-source tech and cloud platforms.
• Working knowledge of Apache, Tomcat, MySQL, and JVM servers.
• Scripting in Python, PHP, Perl, or Ruby.
• Ability to work independently and lead initiatives.
• AWS certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to new product implementations and DevOps practices.
• Collaborate with vendors and engineering teams to deliver scalable solutions.
• Establish standards, policies, and best practices for DevOps.
• Design simple, repeatable, reliable solutions for operations.
• Own release management for deployments.
• Maintain systems and tools across development and production.
• Develop and maintain version control processes.
• Maintain comprehensive DevOps documentation.
• Create technical documentation for new systems for support teams.
