Job summary

IMG Academy is seeking a DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer to join our team of engineers, designers, and product managers. You will ensure systems are efficient, reliable, and scalable, while improving developer productivity and application performance across our US operations.

You will collaborate with cloud security, QA, and development teams to streamline builds and deployments and proactively resolve issues.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in DevOps/SRE roles.
• Experience configuring CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket Pipelines, GitHub Actions).
• Experience deploying PHP applications is not required but can help.
• Hands-on with Docker and AWS ECR for container builds and deployments.
• Strong experience with AWS services (EC2, RDS, ECS, Lambda) and Terraform for IaC.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as New Relic, Sentry, CloudWatch.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for databases, apps, and distributed systems.
• Experience with modern software workflows (agile, code reviews).
• Scripting skills (Bash, Python).
• Excellent communication and collaboration.
• Interest in AI-driven monitoring and diagnosis workflows.

Responsibilities

• Configure, manage, and improve Bitbucket pipelines for staging and production deployments.
• Improve CI pipeline speed, reliability, and security with the Cloud Security Engineer.
• Assist developers and QA teams with deployments.
• Work with Docker and AWS ECR for container builds and deployment workflows.
• Review and investigate issues with Sentry, New Relic, and CloudWatch.
• Monitor performance and propose bottleneck solutions.
• Maintain non-production environments and AWS Terraform resources.
• Collaborate to design scalable, observable, and secure systems.
