Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated seeks a DevOps Architect to be the pinnacle technical authority for our DevOps practice, defining patterns and driving platform strategy across multiple software solutions. You will lead architecture decisions, oversee Kubernetes topology, Terraform governance, and IaC practices while aligning with security and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required.
• Demonstrated architect-level experience with platform strategy.
• 5+ years in DevOps, platform engineering, or infrastructure architecture across multiple teams.
• Mastery of Kubernetes in production environments.
• Expert-level Terraform skills: module architecture and governance.
• Deep ArgoCD expertise: multi-cluster management and GitOps patterns.
• Broad Azure platform knowledge: networking, identity, cost management.
• Experience with observability tooling: Prometheus/Grafana/OpenTelemetry.
• Experience designing platforms for regulated industries and security.
• AWS/multi-cloud architecture experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end platform architecture across all software solutions, setting standards for Kubernetes topology and lifecycle.
• Govern Kubernetes strategy, including OpenShift and AKS maturity and future AWS expansion.
• Define the GitOps strategy and ArgoCD architecture with patterns for multiple clusters and promotions.
• Establish container platform standards: image supply chain, registry governance, vulnerability management.
• Own the IaC strategy and Terraform architecture with governance across teams.
• Define cloud platform standards across Azure and OpenShift, including landing zones and cost governance.
• Evaluate cloud-native services balancing capability, cost, and maintainability.
• Ensure IaC practices extend to future cloud platforms, including AWS.
