Job description

iSeatz drives enduring brand loyalty through exceptional, connected experiences. Our digital commerce and technology solutions enable travel and lifestyle bookings for the world’s leading brands in financial services, travel, and hospitality, including American Express, IHG Hotels & Resorts, Qantas, and more.

What We Do

We have a history of long-term trusted relationships and innovation that drives tangible value to our customers through a customizable, scalable, and secure platform, a global third-party marketplace, and loyalty integration. Our proprietary platform processes over $9B per year in transactions.

We aspire to put our customers at the heart of every decision and exceed their expectations with best-in-class solutions and business-value innovations.

What You’ll Do

The DevOps Manager reports to the Manager of Platform Services and plays a key role in scaling and evolving our DevOps function across a fully remote, globally distributed team. This leader will oversee the design, automation, and optimization of our cloud infrastructure — primarily within AWS — with a strong focus on reliability, observability, and operational excellence.

You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement and enhance CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code practices, and Kubernetes orchestration, while fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. Success in this role requires both technical depth and the ability to align nearshore and offshore resources around shared goals in a dynamic, high-growth environment.

Your Impact

  • Lead and mentor a distributed team of DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning in a remote-first setup.
  • Design, build, and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure infrastructure on AWS, using services like ECS, Lambda, Aurora, CloudFormation, and CDK.
  • Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Drive best practices for CI/CD, infrastructure as code (IaC), monitoring, and cost optimization across environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams - including developers, QA, and security across nearshore and offshore time zones - to align goals, improve platform resilience, and deliver value at scale.
  • Develop operational policies, runbooks, and documentation to support consistency and resiliency across global teams.
  • Act as a liaison between engineering, operations, and leadership to drive DevOps strategy and execution.
  • Stay current on emerging DevOps tools, trends, and architectural patterns, and advocate for strategic adoption where they add value.

What You Bring To The Table

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps or SRE roles, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership or people management capacity.
  • Significant hands-on experience with AWS, including ECS, Lambda, Aurora (RDS), CloudFormation, and CDK.
  • Strong understanding of Kubernetes architecture, management, and performance tuning.
  • Expertise with observability and monitoring tools like SumoLogic and Datadog.
  • Proven success leading remote, globally distributed DevOps teams (including nearshore and offshore support models).
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Bash, Python).
  • Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines, GitOps workflows, and infrastructure automation.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, especially in distributed team environments.
  • AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer).
  • Experience with other IaC tools (Terraform, Pulumi).
  • Familiarity with distributed databases, DR planning, and high availability systems.
  • Experience in fast-paced environments, with a startup or global enterprise background.
  • Experience in supporting a 24/7 enterprise environment with on-call rotations.

Pay Range for this Position:

$167,000 - $180,000 USD

Location

This role is remote-first and can be located anywhere in the continental United States - feel free to work from your home office, from the beach, or from the cottage you rented for the summer! iSeatz is a New Orleans-based company with Central Time Zone business hours (9:00 am - 5:00 pm CT). While we support flexible schedules, some roles—particularly those with direct client collaboration—may require alignment with client time zones for key meetings and real-time communication.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way.
