Overview

This role is fully remote within the continental United States. A security clearance is not required but is a plus. Travel is limited to one or two trips annually to our Arlington, VA headquarters or nearby offices.

What You Will Do

• Deploy, secure, and monitor production, test, and development environments in AWS, utilizing Docker containers managed with Kubernetes.
• Manage and automate deployments using Helm, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or similar tools.
• Collaborate with development teams and oversee DevOps staff, including managing direct reports.
• Participate in strategic system design and technical decision-making.
• Support a deployment window once a week and participate in an on-call rotation for 24/7 support.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience managing AWS environments and other cloud services.
• Proficiency with Elastic and other databases.
• Expertise in CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and EKS.
• Designing scalable architectures and implementing best practices for security and reliability.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles.
• Proficiency in software development practices, including version control and agile methodologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills

• Strong scripting skills, especially in Python.
• Experience with Python frameworks like Django or FastAPI.
