Job summary

IBM is seeking a DevOps Intern to join our engineering team in New York. You will help build, automate, deploy, and maintain scalable infrastructure and delivery pipelines supporting enterprise applications.

You’ll work with Development, QA, Security, and Operations to improve software quality, deployment efficiency, and system reliability, emphasizing automation, cloud tech, and IaC across the SDLC.

Qualifications

• Strong DevOps or platform engineering background with automation focus.
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency with Terraform, Ansible, Git and Linux environments.
• Scripting in Python and/or Bash.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, IBM Cloud) and monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Automate software build, testing, deployment, and release processes.
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Improve deployment reliability, speed, and consistency across environments.
• Deploy and manage infrastructure in cloud and on-premises environments.
• Implement infrastructure as code practices using modern automation tools.
• Maintain development, testing, staging, and production environments.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions.
