Job summary

CodeMettle is seeking an Infrastructure Support Engineer to join our team in Atlanta. You will be the first line of support for DevOps infrastructure, assisting with automation, containerized deployments, and enterprise infrastructure software.

The role involves supporting CI/CD pipelines, managing access, monitoring health, and contributing to IaC efforts while growing with DevOps best practices. Hybrid on-site work is required, with a focus on collaboration and problem solving.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or 2–4 years IT/DevOps experience.
Working knowledge of Linux and TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls.
Basic scripting in Bash, Python, PowerShell, or similar.
Willingness to administer and support applications used by multiple teams.
Customer-service mindset with patience and genuine interest in helping others.
Must be self-motivated, proactive and curious.
Must be an effective problem solver with good communication.
Able to work on-site in the CodeMettle office and maintain equipment.
U.S. Citizenship is required to access CodeMettle systems.

Responsibilities

Serve as the first point of contact for internal support requests related to DevOps infrastructure, tools, and services; triage, troubleshoot, and resolve or elevate as appropriate.
Operate and maintain infrastructure, applications, and services supporting software development CI/CD, testing, security, artifact management, and network/device simulation.
Manage user accounts, access, and permissions across development tools and platforms.
Monitor system health, respond to alerts, and assist with routine maintenance, patching, upgrades, and backups.
Create and maintain documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles to improve engineer self-service.
Help product and engineering teams get the most out of self-service capabilities of our DevOps infrastructure.
Collaborate with security, engineering, and operations on shared systems with multiple stakeholders.
Contribute to automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) efforts that replace manual touch labor.
Set up and maintain office hardware, lab equipment, servers, and workstations as needed.
Learn from senior engineers and stay current on DevOps tools, trends, and best practices.
