Job summary

Apple's IS&T Retail Store Apps Engineering team in Austin is seeking a hands-on software engineer to help deliver the technology that connects Apple's stores with customers. You will work with cross-functional teams to automate processes, deploy releases, and build scalable services that support product stories and store experiences.

Ideal candidates have a CS degree with 3+ years of experience and are proficient in Python, Rust, or Java, with cloud and IaC tooling experience.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Computer Science with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Python, Rust or Java for software development.
• Experience with cloud compute environments and IaC practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve and debug at scale.
• Willingness to collaborate across multifunctional teams and on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Eliminate repetitive manual processes through automation.
• Deploy application releases from development to production.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of trends in Apple tech and retail.
• Lead and architect distributed compute platforms and services.
• Analyze health metrics and provide stability improvements.
• Troubleshoot large-scale production issues with the team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver product stories.
