Job summary

Northrop Grumman’s Space Systems division is seeking a DevOps Engineer to design and operate CI/CD pipelines and IaC in a security-focused SCIF environment. The role emphasizes automation, cloud-native delivery, and collaboration with orbital teams.

The position is onsite with potential Level 3 or Level 4 designation, requiring TS/SCI clearance, Linux automation experience, and OpenStack/Kubernetes proficiency. Expect a demanding, mission-critical environment.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance at time of application.
• 3+ years of DevOps experience.
• 3+ years in a technical leadership role.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Terraform, & Ansible.
• Experience with Kubernetes (K8s).

Responsibilities

• Automate cloud native technologies, deploy applications, and provision critical infrastructure.
• Work with microservices and distributed application architecture, such as containers, Kubernetes, and/or serverless technology.
• Work within the OpenStack cloud ecosystem to configure and deploy optimized infrastructure.
• Ensure monitoring and health of the resources deployed via Nagios or other enterprise management solutions.
• Document procedures used during deployment cycles.
• Mentor fellow DevOps team and cross-train to grow technical talent.
