Compensation

The target salary range for this role is $113,900 - $134,000.

Job Summary

The DevOps Engineer at Purple is responsible for providing CI/CD capabilities across multiple teams, orchestrating delivery processes, and developing automated tools to streamline deployment into production.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Automate operational activities and tasks.
2. Lead and execute complex projects.
3. Identify and resolve technical challenges.
4. Drive DevOps transformation initiatives.
5. Implement security automation and DevSecOps practices.
6. Research emerging technologies for proofs-of-concept.
7. Mentor junior team members.
8. Implement container security and networking best practices.

Required Skills, Education, and Experience

1. 7+ years of related experience.
2. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred.
3. Strong security knowledge and cloud controls experience.
4. Expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, or ECS.
5. Proficiency with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, IAM, CloudFormation, CloudWatch.
6. Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
7. Scripting skills in Python, Shell, or similar.
8. Understanding of cloud security principles, IAM, encryption, vulnerability management.
9. Experience with monitoring and logging tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK.
10. Proven ability to design and implement complex CI/CD pipelines.
11. Experience with scalability, auto-scaling, and high availability architectures.
12. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
13. Familiarity with agile methodologies.
14. Knowledge of serverless architectures and disaster recovery strategies.

Physical and Environmental Conditions
