Job summary

GlobalLogic is seeking a seasoned DevOps Engineer to join the DevOps team on a financial services client project in San Antonio, TX. The role focuses on operating and automating large-scale data and cloud infrastructure in public cloud environments, with hybrid work options.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of professional cloud, automation, and platform operations experience, plus strong skills in CI/CD, security governance, and cost optimization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience with large-scale platform operations.
• 3+ years in developing/operating infrastructure and cloud services (AWS).
• Strong IAAC concepts, orchestration, and tooling.
• Experience implementing security controls, governance, and cost optimization.
• Networking, Linux/Unix internals, and scripting experience.
• Advanced Git usage and automation with Chef/Ansible or equivalent.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and cloud monitoring (Splunk/Grafana/Datadog).
• Knowledge of SDLC/ALM/ITIL/Agile frameworks and strong leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead large-scale platform operations and support for a financial services client.
• Develop and operate infrastructure and data platforms in public clouds (AWS).
• Implement IaC, security controls, governance, and cost optimization.
• Manage network protocols, load balancing, and Linux/Unix scripting.

Note: GlobalLogic estimates the starting pay range for this role to be performed hybrid in San Antonio, TX is $130,000 – $140,000 and reflects base salary only. This pay range is provided as a good faith estimate and the amount offered may be higher or lower. GlobalLogic takes many factors into consideration in making an offer, including candidate qualifications, work experience, operational needs, travel and onsite requirements, internal peer equity, prevailing wage, responsibilities, and other market and business considerations.

• Key Qualifications
• 5+ years of professional experience with large scale platform operations and support.
• 3+ years of experience in developing and operating infrastructure, data platforms and cloud services in public cloud environments (AWS).>
• Solid understanding of IAAC (infrastructure as a code) techniques, orchestration and tooling.
• Experience in implementing security controls, governance processes, compliance validation, Vulnerability remediation , infrastructure cost analysis and optimization
• Hands on experience in network protocol, load balancing technologies and transport protocols and Linux/Unix system internals and scripting.
• Strong experience in git with advanced functions (git flow, branching/merging, TBD, etc.) and Chef or Ansible for tasks automation.
• Experience with build tools such as Bamboo, Jenkins, AWS Code build , Maven along side with Java/.NET environment, frameworks, and it`s ecosystems.
• Proficient with one or more programming languages such as Python/Java/.NET / Scala for automation and API integrations.
• Knowledge and hands on experience in working with CI/CD technologies like AWS Code build, Gitops, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes and cloud monitoring using Splunk, Grafana/Datadog is a huge plus.
• Knowledge of Big Data / analytics stack like AWS EMR, Spark, Presto, Iceberg, Atlas, Airflow, Cassandra is plus.
• Experience with RDBMS is a plus.
• Good understanding on Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), CMMI, Scrum, Agile
• Excellent leadership skills with ability to manage work to tight deadlines and handle the pressure of executive requests and product launches.
