Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's degree and some development operations experience; OR bachelor's degree and two (2) years of development operations experience; OR associate's degree and four (4) years of IT experience to include two (2) years of development operations.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for researchers and technical teams.
• Strong proficiency in AWS and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Solid understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform or CloudFormation).
• Knowledge of networking principles, object storage, and GCP BigQuery; Working knowledge of High Performance Computing (SLURM).

Responsibilities

• Builds and configures containerization and clusterization under minimal supervision; monitors applications, servers, system reliability, and compute performance.
• Implements development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure; supports development operations processes and updates.
• Tracks and documents changes to code with source control tools; may provide guidance to lower level engineers.
