Job summary

TGS is seeking a DevOps Engineer II in Houston, TX to design, build, and operate the cloud and HPC infrastructure powering our seismic imaging and data processing.

You will automate CI/CD pipelines, manage Kubernetes-based platforms, and collaborate across HPC, Enterprise IT, and R&D teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions in hybrid environments. This mid-level role emphasizes autonomy on well-defined problems and strong engineering judgment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 3–5 years in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, SRE, or HPC.
• Experience with Linux in production.
• Experience with HPC schedulers (Slurm, PBS, LSF).
• Cloud experience with AWS preferred (Azure/GCP considered).

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design, planning, integration, maintenance, and support of cloud and containerized architecture.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure‑as‑code.
• Automate, optimize, troubleshoot, and resolve system problems.
• Support HPC infrastructures across visualization, compute, storage, and interconnects.
