Job summary

KellyMitchell is seeking a hands-on DevOps Engineer II to support and maintain cloud-based applications in a production environment from Greenwood Village, CO. The role focuses on AWS, Linux, Kubernetes, and observability, with a strong emphasis on diagnosing production issues and ensuring reliable, scalable services.

The position is onsite as a contract engagement, requiring collaboration with software and infra teams to improve reliability and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or SRE experience.
• Hands-on AWS experience.
• Strong Linux command-line skills.
• Experience with Kubernetes and AWS EKS.
• Understanding of networking concepts.
• Experience with observability, monitoring, and logging in production.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain production apps and infrastructure in AWS.
• Manage AWS EC2 and EKS environments.
• Support Kubernetes-based app environments.
• Perform Linux system administration and CLI troubleshooting.
• Troubleshoot production connectivity and performance issues.
• Apply networking concepts to diagnose connectivity.
• Monitor health with observability and logging tools.
• Investigate root causes and assist with RCA.
• Assist deployment, configuration, scaling, and management of apps and infra.
• Develop reusable infrastructure code and automation.
• Collaborate with software and infra teams to improve reliability.
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive ops tasks.
