Job summary

Assured Information Security (AIS) has an opening for a DevOps Engineer II within the Trusted Systems team. This remote position will support engineering platforms and microservices used to develop critical applications leveraged across multiple DoD customers.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or related field with 2 years of experience, plus strong skills in Kubernetes, CI/CD (GitLab), Ansible, and cloud platforms (Azure and AWS).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with automation tools and solid understanding of Linux.
• Experience deploying and managing containerized applications in Kubernetes clusters and custom manifests.
• Familiarity with IaaS and PaaS.
• General understanding of DevSecOps principles and SDL.
• Experience with configuring and managing Linux resources and CI/CD pipelines using Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of DoD environment, systems and applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop infrastructure, task automation, and provision managed services using Ansible and scripting languages.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines to automate building, testing, and deploying code with GitLab.
• Install, configure, and support container orchestration engines (Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker Swarm).
• Manage Azure and AWS cloud platforms.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with software and test teams to integrate capabilities.
• Stay current with cybersecurity threats and contribute to internal R&D efforts.
• Maintain and update documentation for systems builds.
