Job summary

Verisk is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer 2 to support AWS cloud infrastructure, automation, and DevOps practices. You will help build and maintain infrastructure, enhance CI/CD pipelines, and support deployments across production environments.

You will collaborate with software, security, and operations teams to apply DevOps and DevSecOps practices, drive cloud migrations, and improve reliability and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years in DevOps, Cloud/Infrastructure roles (SRE/Infra Eng).
• 2+ years managing AWS cloud environments.
• Working knowledge of AWS services (EC2, VPC, IAM, ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, Route 53, ELB).
• Experience building and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CodePipeline).
• Hands-on with IaC (CDK and/or CloudFormation).
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Scripting/automation with Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience with on-call/production support and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Support AWS cloud infrastructure deployment and automation using IaC tools like CDK or CloudFormation.
• Build, update, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, and CodePipeline.
• Manage containerized apps with Docker, ECS, and EKS.
• Improve observability using CloudWatch, Splunk, and related tools.
• Participate in on-call, incident response, and root cause analyses.
• Collaborate with software, security, architecture, and operations teams on DevOps/DevSecOps practices.
• Document processes and contribute to standards to improve automation and cloud cost efficiency.
