Job summary

Jobtailor seeks aSenior Cloud/DevOps Engineer to own complex cloud infrastructure and platform work, lead troubleshooting of production and pre-production issues, and drive CI/CD and infrastructure as code improvements at scale.

You will organize architecture discussions, mentor junior engineers, participate in on-call rotation, and partner across Technology to translate requirements into secure, scalable decisions while defining runbooks and guardrails.

Responsibilities

• Independently own complex cloud infrastructure and platform work
• Lead advanced troubleshooting and resolution of complex production and pre-production issues
• Organize and influence infrastructure and platform architecture design discussions
• Lead CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code improvements with minimal oversight
• Drive proactive reliability work, incident prevention, and resilience hardening

• Define and improve operational standards, runbooks, and engineering guardrails
• Provide technical mentorship and informal leadership to associate and mid-level engineers
• Participate in on-call rotation and lead response for high-impact incidents

Requirements

• Advanced proficiency with AWS services, IAM, networking, and security controls
• Advanced proficiency with Terraform and/or CloudFormation design and operations
• Strong experience building and operating CI/CD systems at team scale
• Strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container delivery workflows
• Proficiency in one or more scripting/programming languages used for automation
• Ability to drive complex initiatives across multiple teams and priorities
• Strong written and verbal communication with technical and business stakeholders
• AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification (or higher) recommended
• Terraform Associate certification recommended
• Experience with Ansible, Chef, or Puppet recommended
