Job summary

Next Gen IT, Inc. is seeking a highly experienced DevOps/GHES Administrator to manage GHES, GitHub Actions, self-hosted runners, and enterprise workflows from a hybrid Phoenix environment.

You will optimize SDLC processes, secure CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate across development teams to implement scalable automation using Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, Docker, and related tools. Excellent scripting and API integration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 6+ years GHES administration with expertise in GitHub Actions, self-hosted runners, and microservices architecture.
• Strong scripting, API integration, and automation skills (GitHub REST/GraphQL APIs, GitHub CLI, Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes).
• GHES upgrade planning, disaster recovery, replication, and internal service optimizations.
• Cloud expertise (GitHub Cloud, GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and DevOps security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage GitHub Actions, self-hosted runners, autoscaling, secure environments, and workflow orchestration.
• Proficiency in Kubernetes cluster management using kubectl, Rancher, and Helm.
• Administers, maintains, and monitors Kubernetes clusters and hardware infrastructure.
• Designs and manages Kubernetes cluster layout, resources, and storage.
• Monitors and optimizes Kubernetes resources (pods, nodes, namespaces).

• Experience working with builds and deployments across various programming languages such as Java, Node.js, and Python; experience with .NET and Go source code is a plus.


• Experience with GitHub Actions and GitHub Enterprise Administration.


• Experience working with self-hosted runners on GitHub Enterprise Cloud (GHEC).
