Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Software DevOps Engineer to join the Health and Financial Solution team, supporting Medicare DME systems. You will automate and optimize CI/CD pipelines, integrate test automation, and bridge legacy mainframe with modern cloud platforms in a collaborative Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 5 years with BS/BA; or 9 years of experience with a high school diploma.
• Demonstrated experience in DevOps automation, configuration and deployment management.
• Proficiency with DevOps tools such as Git/GitHub, Jenkins, Terraform, Splunk, SonarQube, Docker, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, AWS CloudFormation, Salt, or similar tools.
• Proven ability to deliver in an Agile/SCRUM environment.
• Experienced with Jira and Confluence.
• Hands on programming experience with languages such as Python, PHP, Ruby, Groovy and Java.
• Proficiency in the use of CI/CD tools to automate testing and deployment.
• Strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• US Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Automate and orchestrate workloads across Mainframe and AWS.
• Integrate test automation within CI/CD pipelines across legacy and modernized architectures.
• Develop, maintain and troubleshoot API components to support processing between legacy and web environments.
• Support unit testing and integration for application components.
• Support software developers with CI/CD questions and issues.
• Recommend and implement process changes to improve CI/CD environment.
• Maintain awareness of emerging technologies, with a focus on cloud computing and automation.
