Job summary

ModMed, headquartered in Boca Raton, FL, seeks a Cloud DevOps Engineer to streamline operations, automate workflows, and improve deployment reliability. You’ll modernize cloud infrastructure, enhance CI/CD pipelines, and drive automation to empower developers delivering AI-enabled healthcare software.

This hands-on role focuses on AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, and DataDog within a hybrid, hybrid-leaning environment that supports remote options for select roles.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps or cloud engineering roles.
• AWS hands-on expertise including security, performance tuning and cost management.
• Proficiency with Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, Jenkins and DataDog; scripting in Python/Bash.
• Strong networking and cloud security knowledge; ability to mentor engineers.

Responsibilities

• Cloud Infrastructure Management: optimize AWS/Azure environments for security, performance, and cost.
• Automation & CI/CD: build and maintain pipelines with Jenkins, GitHub Actions and cloud services.
• Infrastructure as Code: implement Terraform, Ansible and related tooling for repeatable provisioning.
• Monitoring & Observability: use DataDog to detect and resolve issues proactively.
• Containerization & Orchestration: manage Kubernetes and container workflows for efficiency.
• Performance & Cost Optimization: continuously tune resources for best performance and cost.
• Developer Enablement: provide self-service tooling via GitOps, APIs, and UI automation.
• Incident Management & Troubleshooting: rapid resolution across cloud environments.
• Security & Compliance: apply cloud security best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Mentorship & Collaboration: guide junior engineers and promote DevOps best practices.
