Job summary

California School Boards Association seeks an experienced DevOps Software Engineer to drive automation, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure enhancements. You will implement DevOps best practices, manage IaC, and work with stakeholders to deliver reliable software for CSBA and its members.

Ideal candidates will have strong automation, monitoring, and security capabilities, plus experience leading DevOps initiatives within a collaborative, hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in CS/IS or related field.
• 3–4 years leading DevOps and software development.
• Strong experience with cloud computing (AWS, Azure) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with automation, IaC and containerization.

Responsibilities

• Automate building, testing and deployment processes.
• Develop and maintain automated monitoring and alerting systems.
• Troubleshoot issues related to performance, deployment and infrastructure.
• Enforce security best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
• Manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines for reliable releases.
• Collaborate with developers to support planning, integration and delivery.
• Lead security implementation and compliance for deployed applications.
