Job summary

BWE is seeking a DevOps Engineer in Columbus, OH to own the build, test, and release path for custom applications and AI integrations. You will design and operate CI/CD pipelines, manage IaC, and automate deployments across_DEV/TEST/PROD environments, ensuring auditable deployment records.

Key tasks include packaging, environment provisioning, secrets management, and incident escalation, with strong emphasis on Azure cloud and REST API integrations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps or platform engineering with production deployments.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines for production apps.
• Strong Git workflows with PR reviews and release tagging.
• Infrastructure as code and declarative configuration management.
• Automation in Python or PowerShell with REST API usage.
• Experience managing environments and secrets promotion across stages.
• Experience deploying to Azure or an equivalent cloud platform.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the build, test, and release path for BWE's custom applications and integrations.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with automated quality gates ahead of production.
• Package and deploy applications across environments with versioning, rollback, and release documentation.
• Provision and maintain development, test, and production environments.
• Define infrastructure and platform state declaratively, versioned and deployed via IaC.
• Establish and maintain Git workflow standards including branching, PR reviews, and traceability.
• Deliver AI-related applications including agents and MCP connectors into supported environments.
• Support AI/Data teams in adopting source control and deployment practices.
• Integrate systems via REST APIs, webhooks, and event-driven automation.
• Implement code scanning, dependency, and software supply chain controls in pipelines.
• Instrument applications and pipelines with monitoring, dashboards, and health metrics.
• Produce change history and deployment evidence for audits and reviews.
• Serve as Tier 3 escalation for pipelines, environments, and tooling.
