Job summary

CapTech is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join the engineering team and advance how we deploy, verify, and monitor applications and services across our mix of on‑premises, private and public cloud.

You will define DevOps processes, improve CI/CD tooling, and help shape development workflows while ensuring robust monitoring, alerting, and infrastructure automation. Collaboration with development and operations is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with source code management tools such as Subversion and Git.
• Proficiency with at least one modern programming language such as Java or .NET.
• Proficiency in cross‑platform scripting languages and build tools (ANT, Artifactory, Groovy, Maven, MSBuild, Nexus, NuGet).
• Experience deploying and administering Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins, TFS, TeamCity or Bamboo.
• Experience creating infrastructure automation solutions with tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc.
• Experience and understanding of Agile development.
• Experience troubleshooting distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships across development and operations teams to understand the code, its dependencies, and the infrastructure on which it runs.
• Build and maintain systems that will monitor all aspects of the application and the infrastructure.
• Lead the definition of the team’s strategy for SDLC automation, configuration management, and release management.
• Be the team expert in deployment strategy (CI/CD) and automation.
• Contribute to software development as needed.
