Job summary
CapTech is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join the engineering team in Reston, VA, driving deployment, verification, and monitoring of applications and services. You will shape DevOps processes, improve CI toolchains, and optimize development workflows across on-premises, private, and public cloud environments.
You’ll collaborate with development and operations teams to define deployment strategies, monitor systems, and support automation across the SDLC.
Qualifications
- Experience with Subversion and Git.
- Proficiency in Java or .NET.
- Scripting languages and build tools: ANT, Maven, MSBuild, Nexus, NuGet, Artifactory, Groovy.
- Experience deploying CI tools: Jenkins, TFS, TeamCity, or Bamboo.
- Infrastructure automation with Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Chef, Puppet.
- Experience with Agile development.
Responsibilities
- Build relationships across development and operations to understand code, dependencies, and infrastructure.
- Build and maintain monitoring systems for app and infrastructure.
- Lead SDLC automation strategy for CI/CD, configuration management, and release management.
- Serve as the deployment strategy (CI/CD) expert and drive automation.
- Contribute to software development as needed.
