Job summary

CapTech is looking for a DevOps engineer to join the engineering team and drive how we deploy, verify, and monitor applications and services. You will shape DevOps processes with stakeholders, improve CI/CD tooling, environment provisioning, and development workflows, and ensure robust monitoring and alerting across our infrastructure.

This role emphasizes collaboration with development and operations, implementing automation, and contributing to software delivery in a fast-paced consulting

Qualifications

• Experience with source code management tools such as Subversion and Git.
• Proficiency with at least one modern programming language such as Java or .NET.
• Proficiency in cross-platform scripting languages and build tools (ANT, Artifactory, Groovy, Maven, MSBuild, Nexus, NuGet).
• Experience deploying and administering Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins, TFS, TeamCity or Bamboo.
• Experience creating infrastructure automation solutions with tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Chef, Puppet.
• Experience and understanding of Agile development.
• Experience troubleshooting distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships across development and operations teams to understand the code, its dependencies, and the infrastructure on which it runs.
• Build and maintain systems that will monitor all aspects of the application and the infrastructure.
• Lead the definition of the team’s strategy for SDLC automation, configuration management, and release management.
• Be the team expert in deployment strategy (CI/CD) and automation.
• Contribute to software development as needed.
