Job summary

Collinson Group is seeking a DevOps Engineer to build, deploy and maintain large-scale, high-performance systems using AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes and Docker. You will design robust infrastructure with automation at the core and a focus on security and resilience.

You will collaborate with multiple teams to implement CI/CD pipelines, monitor systems, perform root-cause analyses, and ensure reliable operations as part of an on-call rotation. Strong communication and problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience building and maintaining large-scale, high-performance systems in AWS.
• Proficiency with Terraform, Kubernetes and Docker for infrastructure and deployments.
• Knowledge of PCI/ISO27001 considerations for infra, networks and apps.
• Scripting experience (PowerShell, Bash or Python).
• Strong written and verbal communication, with cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Act as escalation point for Cloud/CI/CD issues.
• Champion cloud standards and best practices (AWS).
• Own infrastructure security, resilience, monitoring and alerting.
• Implement secure, scalable development pipelines (CI/CD).
• Design solutions with architecture and developer experience in mind.
• Collaborate across teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Perform root cause analysis for incidents to minimize recurrence.
• Evaluate vendor software/hardware against company requirements.
• Translate business needs into stable technical solutions.
• Lead or contribute to upgrades, installations and releases.
• Stay updated on IT trends and evaluate new products/services.
• Suggest improvements to IT processes and operations.
• Participate in on-call rotation to ensure customer experience.
