Job summary

The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies is seeking a DevOps Software Engineer to build and maintain AI/ML infrastructure at our Kirtland AFB site in Albuquerque, NM. You will focus on CI/CD, containerized microservices, and scalable pipelines for OCR and ML tasks, collaborating with data scientists and architects.

Responsibilities include deploying ML models, ensuring high availability, observability, and secure operations, while using tools like Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, and GitHub

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant DevOps/Software Engineering experience or 2+ years with a degree (e.g., CS).
• Strong Python development with ML/data processing libraries (pandas, scikit-learn) and web frameworks (FastAPI, Flask).
• JavaScript (Next.js) for API development and frontend tooling.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
• Container orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for model deployment and ML workflows.
• Manage containerized microservices for OCR/AI services and ensure high availability.
• Implement observability across distributed ML services and monitor pipelines.
• Manage secrets/configs and build self-healing, auto-scaling systems.
• Develop APIs and dashboards, and apply GitOps principles for ML model lifecycle.
