Job summary

Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings, LLC is seeking a DevOps Software Engineer to support OCR, ML, and AI services at a government-facing archive platform. You will architect and maintain scalable infrastructure, implement IaC, and ensure secure, reliable operations across distributed ML services.

Requirements include strong Python, Docker/Kubernetes, and CI/CD experience, plus familiarity with MLOps, GitOps, and cloud platforms. US citizenship and security clearance readiness are essential.

Qualifications

• Four plus (4+) years relevant DevOps/Software Engineering experience OR two plus (2+) years relevant DevOps/Software Engineering experience with a relevant degree.
• Ability to obtain CompTIA Security+ Certification within 6 weeks of starting.
• Strong Python development skills with ML/data processing libraries and web frameworks.
• JavaScript (Next.js) proficiency for API development and frontend tooling.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and container orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the infrastructure supporting OCR, ML, and AI services that search, organize and characterize digital archive collections.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for model deployment and manage containerized microservices.
• Ensure high availability and observability of the archive platform.
