Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with an innovative tech organization to hire a DevOps Automation Engineer in Albuquerque. This hands-on role focuses on automating infrastructure, optimizing CI/CD, and leveraging AI tools to boost efficiency.

You will work with distributed teams to design scalable cloud systems, improve security and reliability, and drive adoption of modern DevOps practices in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/IT/Engineering
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud services
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, OpenTofu, Pulumi, CloudFormation or similar
• Experience owning and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in production
• Strong understanding of system design, scalability, reliability, and performance
• Experience troubleshooting complex systems and production environments
• Proficiency in Python or Go
• Experience with AI-assisted coding tools and automation platforms
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively within a distributed team environment

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automation solutions to reduce manual effort and increase efficiency
• Build, maintain, and optimize infrastructure-as-code environments
• Develop and support CI/CD pipelines for build, test, deployment, and security workflows
• Enhance code quality and security through automated controls and tooling
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools to accelerate implementation while maintaining standards
• Design, deploy, and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure environments
• Investigate production and pipeline issues and implement long-term solutions
• Collaborate with distributed teams to establish best practices and standards
• Evaluate and improve DevOps tools, platforms, and development workflows
• Create and maintain technical documentation and runbooks
