Job summary

SmartRent is seeking a DevOps Engineer to accelerate infrastructure evolution, bridging traditional cloud with AI enablement. You will work with software, security, and operations teams to build scalable, secure, and resilient solutions, reporting to HQ with a preference for Phoenix, AZ candidates.

Responsibilities include Terraform-based provisioning, CI/CD design, and supporting data pipelines, IoT telemetry, and AI rollouts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 2+ years of professional DevOps, Platform, or Cloud Engineering experience.
• 2+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) to manage cloud resources.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture principles on AWS, GCP, or other cloud computing platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, provision, update, and maintain multi-region AWS environments using Terraform to support microservices and growth.
• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD workflows across environments with automated testing.
• Support infrastructure for smart-building data pipelines, IoT telemetry, and AI/LLM-powered feature rollouts.
• Implement AIOps, predictive analytics, anomaly detection, and automated alert responses using DataDog and CloudWatch.
