Role Objectives

• Play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our DevOps practices.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to streamline the development and operations processes, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and reliability throughout the entire software development lifecycle.
• Design, implement, and manage Infrastructure as Code solutions using tools such as Terraform and Terragrunt.
• Maintain and enhance existing IaC to ensure scalability and performance.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts and infrastructure-as-code using languages such as Python, Bash, or Go to streamline CI/CD pipelines and system operations.
• Implement best practices for building, packaging, and deploying applications across different environments.
• Set up and maintain monitoring and logging solutions to proactively identify and address issues.
• Collaborate with the operations team to establish incident response procedures.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline repetitive tasks.
• Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Ensure documentation is updated, accessible, and serves as a valuable resource for the team.

  • Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable platform infrastructure and tooling to empower development teams with self-service capabilities and streamlined CI/CD workflows.
  
• Technical Leadership
  • Help drive roadmap and strategy on DevOps projects and within the team.
  • Stay current with industry trends; assess their relevance to our environment.
    
• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS.
  

About you

• 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role
• Strong experience deploying and managing resources in AWS
• Extensive experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, CircleCI, and Jenkins
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform (or similar)
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools like Datadog
• Strong programming skills in at least one language, such as Python or Go
• Strong expertise in containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and ECS
• Solid understanding of networking and security principles
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects across multiple teams

• Proficiency with AI assistants (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor) to enhance development velocity
• AWS Professional certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer)
• AWS Specialty certifications (Security, Advanced Networking)
• Active participation in open source or personal projects
