Job summary

Pump.co in San Francisco is hiring an Infra/DevOps Engineer to own our AWS infrastructure and help scale our platform. This hands-on role covers environments and services, collaborating with engineers, designers, and founders.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as an infra or devops engineer, with a focus on building scalable and reliable web applications, preferably at a pre-Series B startup.
• Ability to decompose large problems into concrete deliverables and milestones and then deliver against the committed plan.
• Strong proficiency AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
• Expertise with SQL and NoSQL databases. We use Postgres and Dynamo!
• Expertise with Docker and container orchestration systems (e.g. Kubernetes).
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with and enjoys creating prototypes and experimenting quickly.

About the role
