Job summary

Veradigm is seeking a DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and operate CI/CD pipelines and Azure infrastructure for a cloud-based patient engagement platform. You will work with Terraform, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps to support .NET applications within an agile delivery team.

The role includes collaboration with developers, QA, and product owners, with hybrid work requiring 2 days per week in the Raleigh office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2-4 years of experience in software engineering, preferably across development, operations, and infrastructure, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps for .NET applications.
• Develop and maintain Terraform modules to provision and manage Azure infrastructure (App Services, Azure SQL, AKS, Key Vault, networking, IAM).
• Develop and maintain full-stack features in .NET (C#, ASP.NET Core, REST APIs) and support DevOps tasks.
• Automate build, deployment, and cleanup tasks using PowerShell, Bash, or Python; create deployment scripts and tooling for development teams.
• Apply secure DevOps practices across pipelines and infrastructure creation, including security compliance and scanning.
• Monitor health using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, Prometheus, Grafana; triage and resolve failures.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and product teams to translate requirements into designs and estimates.
• Produce and maintain technical and deployment documentation.
• Participate in code and pipeline reviews; raise issues and risks in a timely manner.
• Support and mentor junior DevOps team members.

Job description

Veradigm is looking for a DevOps Engineer to help build and support a cloud-based patient engagement platform used by millions of users every day. You'll take on real ownership of CI/CD pipelines and Azure infrastructure, and support .NET applications as part of a full-stack delivery team.

You'll work with Terraform to manage Azure infrastructure as code, build and maintain GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps pipelines for our .NET applications, and pair that DevOps work with full-stack development knowledge to better support our development teams. You'll collaborate closely with developers, QA, and product owners in an agile environment, and you'll have support from senior engineers as you grow into more advanced infrastructure and automation work.

This is a hybrid position, expected 2 days a week in Raleigh office

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps for building, testing, and deploying .NET applications.
• Write and maintain Terraform modules to provision and manage Azure infrastructure (App Services, Azure SQL, AKS, Key Vault, networking, IAM).
• Develop and maintain full-stack features in .NET (C#, ASP.NET Core, REST APIs), including bug fixes and enhancements alongside DevOps work.
• Automate build, deployment, and cleanup tasks using PowerShell, Bash, or Python, including deployment scripts, log parsers, and tooling for development teams.
• Apply secure DevOps practices across builds, GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps pipelines, and infrastructure creation, including security compliance and scanning.
• Monitor application and infrastructure health using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, Prometheus, Kibana, and Grafana; triage and resolve build, deployment, or environment failures.
• Partner with development, QA, and product teams to translate requirements into clear technical designs and estimates.
• Produce and maintain technical and deployment documentation.
• Participate in code and pipeline reviews; elevate issues and risks in a timely manner.
• Support and mentor junior DevOps team members.

Technical Skills & Experience

Version Control

• Experience with version control - GitHub environments, GitHub expertise, and Git workflow best practices (feature branches, pull requests, tagging, secrets).

DevOps & CI/CD

• Proven experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, with hands-on experience in GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps.
• Expertise in Azure cloud platforms, including compute, storage, networking, containerization (AKS), identity and access management (IAM), and monitoring and alerting.

Infrastructure as Code

• Strong experience with Terraform for managing Azure infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Azure-specific resources (App Services, Azure SQL, AKS, Key Vault, etc.).

Containers & Configuration Management

• Exposure to container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS).

Application Support

• Experience supporting applications built in .NET (Framework and Core) - build and deployment automation.
• Able to work with developers supporting both modern and legacy applications.

Full-Stack Development

• Working knowledge of C# and .NET (Framework and/or Core).
• Experience building or maintaining REST APIs; familiarity with front-end basics (JavaScript, HTML, CSS) is a plus.

Scripting & Automation

• Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, or Bash - writing deployment scripts, cleanup routines, log parsers, and tooling for development teams.

Monitoring & Logging

• Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Azure Monitor/Application Insights, Log Analytics, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.

Secure DevOps Practices

• Knowledge of secure DevOps practices related to builds, GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps pipelines, infrastructure creation, and security compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2-4 years of experience in software engineering, preferably across development, operations, and infrastructure, preferred.
• Comfortable debugging build failures and deployment issues.
• Self-driven and motivated, with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Azure and/or Terraform certifications are a plus.
• AWS experience is a plus.
