Job summary

Veradigm seeks an experienced technical leader to drive hands-on architecture and delivery for complex healthcare revenue cycle management solutions. You will oversee multiple product and engineering teams, staying close to architecture, code, data, UX, infra, and production operations.

This is an individual contributor role with broad influence; you will transform ambiguous problems into clear technical direction and improve engineering effectiveness, including AI-assisted development

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of professional experience delivering and operating production software.
• Experience leading complex technical initiatives across multiple teams.
• Full stack delivery across relational data, backend services & APIs, Angular frontend, cloud infra, and production ops.
• Strong experience with distributed systems, RESTful APIs, and asynchronous messaging.
• Experience designing, deploying, and operating AWS cloud applications.
• Excellent communication and ability to align teams without direct reporting authority.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-team initiatives from discovery through delivery and production operation.
• Define architectures and roadmaps across databases, services, APIs, Angular apps, and AWS infra.
• Stay hands-on with prototyping, design, coding, debugging, and implementation of critical work.
• Create alignment across teams by clarifying decisions, tradeoffs, risks, and dependencies.
• Establish patterns and standards to enable consistent delivery and avoid bottlenecks.
• Address systemic risks in security, scalability, resilience, performance, and cost.
• Modernize large systems while preserving customer value and stability.
• Set quality standards via design reviews, testing, observability, and incident learning.
• Mentor engineers and influence practices without direct authority.
• Explore AI-assisted development patterns and share guidance across teams.
• Capture delivery and production learnings through docs, demos, and communities of practice.

Job description

Provide hands‑on technical leadership for complex healthcare revenue cycle management solutions. You will lead initiatives across multiple product and engineering teams while staying close to architecture, code, data, user experience, infrastructure, and production operations.

This is an individual contributor role with broad influence. You will turn ambiguous customer and business problems into clear technical direction, align teams around practical solutions, and improve engineering effectiveness across the organization.

We value engineers who are curious, adaptable, and eager to learn and share what they discover. You will help multiple teams improve how they build software, including the responsible and effective use of AI‑assisted development practices.

This is a hybrid position, expectation is 2 days a week onsite in Raleigh office

What you will do

• Lead complex, multi-team initiatives from discovery through delivery and production operation.
• Define architectures and roadmaps across databases, .NET services and APIs, Angular applications, integrations, AWS infrastructure, and deployment platforms.
• Stay hands‑on by prototyping, designing, coding, debugging, reviewing, and implementing critical or high‑risk work.
• Create alignment across teams by making technical decisions, tradeoffs, risks, dependencies, and evolution paths clear.
• Establish shared patterns and standards that help teams deliver consistently without becoming a bottleneck.
• Identify and address systemic risks in security, scalability, resilience, performance, data, cost, and developer experience.
• Lead modernization of large or long‑lived systems while protecting customer value and operational stability.
• Set quality standards through design reviews, testing strategy, observability, incident learning, and operational readiness.
• Mentor engineers and technical leaders and influence engineering practices without relying on direct authority.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and AI‑assisted development practices, establish useful patterns, and share guidance across teams.
• Help teams learn from delivery and production feedback through documentation, technical discussions, demos, and communities of practice.

What you bring

Required

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of professional experience delivering and operating production software.
• A record of leading complex technical initiatives across multiple engineering or product teams.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver full stack solutions across relational data, backend services and APIs, Angular frontend applications, cloud infrastructure, and production operations.
• Strong hands‑on experience with distributed systems, RESTful APIs, and asynchronous messaging.
• Strong experience with relational data design, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, security, and operational resilience.
• Experience designing, deploying, and operating cloud applications and infrastructure, preferably on AWS.
• Excellent communication, technical judgment, and ability to create alignment without direct reporting authority.

Preferred

• Healthcare, revenue cycle management, EHR, or practice management experience.
• HL7, FHIR, EDI, HIPAA, secure handling of regulated data, or other healthcare interoperability experience.
• SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Redis, Snowflake, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
• Experience defining platform standards, reference architectures, or shared engineering capabilities.
• Leadership of modernization, migration, integration, or re‑platforming efforts.
• CloudWatch, Datadog, Splunk, or similar observability tools.
• Experience evaluating and using AI‑assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or Cursor with strong review, testing, and data‑protection practices.

Technology environment: AWS, Azure, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, C#, .NET, TypeScript, Angular, OpenSearch, Snowflake, Docker, Terraform, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Splunk, and GitHub. Experience with every technology is not required; strong fundamentals and the ability to learn are important.
