Job summary

Gallup in Omaha, Nebraska, is seeking a DevOps Engineer to design and manage CI/CD pipelines, automation, and cloud infrastructure to accelerate delivery and reliability across multiple AWS regions.

You will collaborate with software engineers, security, and operations to implement best practices, drive scalability, and support end-to-end testing and security compliance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• At least 2 years designing and managing CI/CD solutions; 1+ year with GitHub Actions.
• 2+ years AWS cloud technologies (incl. ECS and Lambda), IaC tools (Terraform) and MySQL.
• 2+ years scripting with Bash, Python or PowerShell.
• At least 1 year containerization experience (Docker, ECS).
• End-to-end testing experience.
• Security/compliance knowledge.
• Experience leading DevOps initiatives.
• Familiarity with SRE practices.
• Agile work environment experience.
• On-site at Gallup’s Omaha office 2–3 days/week.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with software engineering, infrastructure and security teams to streamline delivery, reliability and observability
• Design, implement and maintain GitHub Actions-based CI/CD pipelines that support our diverse set of applications and services
• Drive adoption and continuous improvement of DevOps practices across platforms and environments, helping teams fully leverage our existing framework
• Manage releases across multiple AWS regions and environments, ensuring seamless delivery
• Solve complex infrastructure and deployment challenges with a strong focus on scalability, observability and automation
• Support teams working across multiple applications, stacks and languages, quickly understanding and adapting to full-stack architectures and deployment flows

• DevOps foundation: You have hands-on experience with DevOps practices and are eager to continue building your skills in automation, deployment and cloud infrastructure.

• Experience with modern tools: You have experience with or exposure to tools such as GitHub Actions (CI/CD), AWS ECS, Docker and/or Podman, Terraform, CloudFormation and observability tools like Dynatrace.

What You Need

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS or a related field, or equivalent experience, required
• At least two years of experience designing and managing CI/CD solutions, with at least one year of experience with GitHub Actions, required
• At least two years of experience working with AWS cloud technologies (including ECS and Lambda), IaC tools (especially Terraform) and MySQL required
• At least two years of experience scripting with Bash, Python or PowerShell required
• At least one year of experience withcontainerization technologies (e.g., Docker, ECS) required
• End-to-end testing experience required
• Deep knowledge of security and compliance industry best practices required
• Experience leading DevOps initiatives required
• Familiarity with SRE implementation and best practices required
• Working experience in an Agile environment required
• Exposure to large, complex software solutions preferred
• A commitment to working on-site at Gallup’s Omaha office two to three days per week required
