Job summary

Disruptive Solutions, LLC is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with Wiz cloud security experience to support the secure development, deployment, and operation of cloud-based applications and infrastructure within a federal environment. This role sits at the intersection of DevOps, cloud engineering, and cybersecurity tooling to better integrate security throughout the software development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5-10 years of relevant experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, or related technical roles.
• Hands-on experience with Wiz, Wiz for Gov, or the Wiz Cloud Security Platform.
• Experience developing and supporting CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with cloud platforms in AWS, Azure and GCP and related security tooling.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation technologies.
• Experience with containers and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of cloud security concepts, vulnerability management, configuration management, IAM, and secure SDLC.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Government Public Trust clearance.
• Must reside within the Washington, DC metro area while supporting the position remotely.

Responsibilities

• Support cloud environments across AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform to design, build, maintain, and improve secure CI/CD pipelines for cloud-based applications and infrastructure.
• Utilize Wiz / Wiz Gov to provide continuous visibility into cloud assets, security posture, vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, identities, and application risks.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, platform engineering, and development teams to integrate Wiz for Gov security insights into enterprise CI/CD pipelines.
• Integrate security scanning and automated security controls throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Analyze Wiz findings, prioritize cloud security risks, and drive remediation with engineering teams.
• Build and support automated deployment processes using GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
• Troubleshoot deployment, infrastructure, application, and cloud security issues across development and production environments.
• Document DevOps processes, security controls, system configurations, and operational procedures.

This position will work at the intersection of DevOps, cloud engineering, and cybersecurity tooling, to better integrate security throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Support cloud environments across AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform to design, build, maintain, and improve secure CI/CD pipelines supporting cloud-based applications and infrastructure.
• Utilize Wiz / Wiz for Gov to provide continuous visibility into cloud assets, security posture, vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, identities, and application risks.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, platform engineering, and development teams to integrate Wiz for Gov security insights into enterprise CI/CD pipelines, enabling continuous compliance monitoring, risk-based vulnerability management, and secure adoption of cloud and AI-enabled technologies across federal systems.
• Integrate security scanning and automated security controls throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Analyze Wiz findings, prioritize cloud security risks, and work with engineering teams to drive remediation.
• Build and support automated deployment processes using tools such as GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
• Troubleshoot deployment, infrastructure, application, and cloud security issues across development and production environments.
• Document DevOps processes, security controls, system configurations, and operational procedures.

• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with development, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Public Trust clearance.
• Must reside within the Washington, DC metropolitan area while supporting the position remotely.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting federal government cloud environments.
• Experience integrating cloud security, vulnerability scanning, or compliance tools into CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience supporting cloud-native or AI-enabled applications.
• Cloud or security certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Security - Specialty, Microsoft Azure certifications, Google Cloud certifications, Security+, CISSP, CCSP, or similar credentials are preferred but not required.
