Job summary

Accelintel is seeking a mid-senior level DevOps Engineer to lead the development of a HIPAA-ready Kubernetes system. This role offers the chance to make a significant impact on B2B healthcare sales while shaping the infrastructure from the ground up. You will be responsible for designing CI/CD pipelines, managing AWS workloads, and ensuring security compliance. This is a contract position with the potential for full-time employment.

What You'll Do

• CI/CD & IaC – Design GitHub Actions pipelines and Terraform modules that turn every merge into an immutable, audited release.
• Kubernetes at scale – Containerize services (Docker) and run them on EKS with Helm-based deployments, autoscaling, and rock-solid pod health.
• Secrets & security – Own IAM, Secrets Manager, and network policies; chart the path to HIPAA compliance.
• Observability & reliability – Wire up metrics, logs, tracing, and cost dashboards; build smart retry logic for Lambda-to-S3 jobs and scraping schedulers.
• Automation everywhere – One-click spin-ups of new scraping agents, batch ETL pipelines, and vector-DB (Pinecone) stacks.
• Terraform all the things – VPCs, ECR, RDS, Bedrock integrations—codified, peer-reviewed, version-controlled.

What You'll Bring to the Team

Must-Haves

• 5+ years building and operating AWS workloads (EKS, S3, EC2, RDS, Lambda, Bedrock)
• Deep fluency with Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, GitHub Actions
• Proven track record owning CI/CD for backend & data pipelines
• Ability to stand up a secure, multi-environment infrastructure from zero
• Strong coding chops in at least one modern language (Python, Go, or Node preferred)

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with ArgoCD, Flux, or Crossplane
• PHI, SOC 2, or HITRUST project history
• Pinecone (or other vector DB) optimization tactics
• Experience in regulated healthcare or life sciences stacks
• Contract-to-hire. Three-month contract with a clear path to full-time if we’re both thrilled.
• Fully remote. Work from anywhere with ~4 hours of North America overlap.
• Ground-floor comp package upon conversion to FTE.

Interview Process

• Intro call (30 min) – Meet the product guy, swap questions.
• Technical deep-dive (60-90 min) – Walk us through prior infra you’ve built; pair on a Terraform/K8s scenario.
• Team chat (30 min) – Culture fit and roadmap Q&A.
