Job summary

Reflexive Concepts in Maryland is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our team to deploy applications, install and configure complex software, and manage network servers and technology tools for reliable systems.

Ideal candidates will have experience with AWS, Docker Swarm, Terraform, Ansible, Git, and CI/CD workflows, plus on-call pager rotation. You will monitor performance and troubleshoot outages in a 24/7 environment.

Reflexive Concepts is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our team!

Responsibilities will include:

• Deploying applications
• Installing and configuring complex software
• Managing network servers and technology tools
• Monitoring and maintaining the system for required levels of performance
• Troubleshooting issues and outages

Required technical skills include experience with:

• AWS, MASH, and VMs
• Docker Swarm
• Deployments of distributed web applications (e.g. "GitLab CI/CD")
• Terraform scripting and VM provisioning
• Ansible scripting and development
• Thorough understanding of Docker & Docker Compose container technology
• Git

Desired technical skills include experience with:

• Python scripting and development
• NiFi maintenance and configuration
• Elasticsearch maintenance and configuration
• HAProxy
• MongoDB

Candidates will be required to work a rotating pager schedule for emergency 24/7 call-in support as required (roughly one week out of every 4-6 weeks). Staff may charge 4 additional hours for the week they are on call in addition to hours worked.
