Job summary

Hakkōda, an IBM Company, seeks a DevOps Engineer in Dallas, TX with up to 100% remote work option. You will participate in agile stand-ups, track progress, and communicate with stakeholders to drive automation and reliable deployments.

Responsibilities include building automated configuration management, delivering production-ready infrastructure, and using Terraform, Datadog, Python, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, and GitHub (GitOps) across cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or Bachelor’s with 5 years progressive experience).
• 1 year of experience as a Consultant, Software Engineer, or related role with Terraform, Datadog, Python, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub (for GitOps).
• Experience delivering automated configuration management and deployment pipelines; strong problem-solving skills.

Work in an agile environment, attend stand-ups, update work progress, and communicate regularly with stakeholders.

Develop automated configuration management processes and pipelines for deployments.

Deliver production-ready infrastructure, work on complex problems, and provide innovative solutions.

Employ version control systems like Git, build automation tools, and deployment automation tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Design and implement automation software for infrastructure as code and administer cloud providers.

Debug and analyze application monitoring and log monitoring.

Evaluate and identify issues at a code level.

Work with cross-functional teams and create dashboards and reports for management and other stakeholders.

Utilize: Terraform, Datadog, Python, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub (for GitOps).
