Job summary

Hakkōda, an IBM Company, seeks a DevOps Engineer in Dallas, TX with up to 100% remote work option. You will participate in agile stand-ups, track progress, and communicate with stakeholders to drive automation and reliable deployments.

Responsibilities include building automated configuration management, delivering production-ready infrastructure, and using Terraform, Datadog, Python, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, and GitHub (GitOps) across cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or Bachelor’s with 5 years progressive experience).
• 1 year of experience as a Consultant, Software Engineer, or related role with Terraform, Datadog, Python, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub (for GitOps).
• Experience delivering automated configuration management and deployment pipelines; strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in an agile environment, attend stand-ups, update progress, and communicate with stakeholders.
• Develop automated configuration management processes and deployment pipelines.
• Deliver production-ready infrastructure and solve complex problems with innovative solutions.
• Utilize Git, build automation, and deployment tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Design automation software for infrastructure as code and manage cloud providers.
• Debug and analyze application and log monitoring; identify code-level issues.
• Create dashboards and reports for management and stakeholders.
