IC Resources is partnering with an Austin tech company to hire a Senior DevOps/Infrastructure Engineer who will own the full infrastructure stack. You’ll manage CI/CD pipelines, the AWS environment via infrastructure as code, and the monitoring and security foundations that keep systems reliable.
You’ll collaborate with developers to scale the product, participate in on-call rotations, and contribute to backups and disaster recovery.
Our client is an Austin tech company whose platform is used by over a million people a year. Well backed, profitable, and the established leader in their category. The engineering team is scaling, and they're hiring a senior engineer to own the infrastructure everything runs on.
This is an ownership role across the full infrastructure picture, not one slice of a platform team. You'll own the CI/CD pipelines that get code to production quickly and safely, manage the AWS environment as infrastructure as code, and build the monitoring and alerting that catches problems before customers do. You'll own security fundamentals including access controls, encryption and vulnerability management, along with backups and disaster recovery. You'll partner with the development team on scalability and performance as the product grows, and take part in the on-call rotation.
5+ years as a DevOps, platform or infrastructure engineer, with real time at an early stage company where a small team owned everything. Deep AWS experience and strong infrastructure as code, ideally Terraform. Docker and container orchestration in production. Scripting ability, Python preferred. Experience with modern monitoring and log management tools. A solid grounding in networking and security best practices, and familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases. Strong problem solving and the communication skills to work well across a close-knit engineering team.
Based in the Austin office 4 days per week. No C2C or C2H. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position now or in the future.
