Job description

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and optimize automated infrastructure and deployment processes across cloud environments. In this role, you will focus on enhancing security, resilience, and observability in CI/CD pipelines while collaborating with multiple development teams. You will have the opportunity to influence automation strategies, implement best practices, and troubleshoot complex technical challenges in a fast‑paced environment. The role is ideal for proactive engineers who enjoy driving improvements, mentoring peers, and delivering reliable, scalable, and secure production systems.

Responsibilities
  • Architect, implement, and manage AWS production and development environments to support applications and products
  • Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated testing systems, security analysis tools, and repository managers
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation, presenting business cases for implementation
  • Ensure development activities follow security standards and best practices
  • Collaborate with multiple development teams to maintain adherence to DevOps principles and practices
  • Define and report on environment health, DevOps automation maturity, and overall performance metrics
  • Document procedures, maintain environment configurations, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
  • Mentor and support other DevOps engineers in technical and process development
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps roles, including at least 4 years focused on AWS environments
  • Hands‑on experience with Unix/Linux systems, shell scripting, and configuration management tools
  • Proficiency with Terraform, CloudFormation, containerization, and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with CI/CD build tools, automated testing systems, and source code management (BitBucket, Jenkins, Maven, etc.)
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, ability to troubleshoot web application environments, and manage multiple competing priorities
  • Excellent communication skills and experience working with remote teams
  • Preferred: experience with Postgres, Tomcat/Apache, and flexible schedule for overnight deployments
